The Tigers are closing in on three more signings

Hull City’s move for Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey is back on, and could be firmed up in the next day or so.

Talks over the past 24 hours with Bailey and owner Acun Ilicali have pushed the move through and it’s now expected the Jamaican will undergo a medical with City this afternoon in an effort to complete the deal before the weekend.

The Tigers were close to pulling out of the deal last weekend, after becoming frustrated with how the talks were progressing, and added complications in the deal.

Sergej Jakirovic confirmed to Hull Live in Istanbul that he didn’t know if the deal would be finalised, but fresh talks in the past 24 hours look to have finally brought a resolution to any difficulties and the Tigers are now hoping Bailey will arrive for his medical today.

Bailey is understood to have pushed to get the move completed, and City are now expecting it to be done before the trip to Frankfurt this weekend.

Elsewhere, Konstantinos Tzolakis’ move has not been confirmed as he continues to wait for a visa, and the same with Rayo Vallecano defender Nobel Mendy. It’s hoped both of those will be confirmed today by the club, once those visas have been received.

Elliot Stroud has finally played his last game for Swedish side Mjällby and is due in the UK for medical before completing his long-awaited switch, while Jens Hjertø-Dahl is in England for his medical and to complete the formalities of his move from Tromsø.
