The Tigers were deserved winners against Super Lig opposition

Hull City kicked off their pre-season campaign with a commanding 3-0 win over Turkish Super Lig outfit Konyaspor.
In their first run-out of the summer, the Tigers delivered a dominant display to ease to victory, thanks to goals from Enis Destan and Abu Kamara, sandwiched either side of an own goal at the Aluminij Sports Park in Kidričevo
Matty Jacob won the ball well with a firm challenge inside a minute, but was cautioned by the Slovenian referee in what was the first in a string of bizarre decisions early on. Increasingly dominant as the game wore on, Nathan Tinsdale stepped off the bench for the stricken Abdus Omur to cross for Enis Destan to power in the header just shy of the half-hour.
Ryan Giles, on for Matty Jacob at the break, delivered one of those classic crosses we saw swallowed up so many times by Oli McBurnie last season, this time turned into the back of the Konyaspor net via a ricochet by a defender, with Tinsdale lurking.
A swift break saw City rattle in the third when Liam Millar picked out Abu Kamara to slam in the third. Oli McBurnie made it 4-0, but a below-par refereeing display was capped when the official decided to disallow it for an imaginary foul.

- Tigers open the scoring through Enis Destan after 28 minutes, before he’s replaced just after the half-hour in a planned change with Mason Burstow coming on
- Ryan Giles forces City’s second through an own goal, before Liam Millar slides in Abu Kamara to guide in the third
- Hidemasa Morita watches on after arriving at the team’s hotel, as does the injured Charlie Hughes. Matt Targett was also not involved as he only began pre-season training at the start of the week
- City had two different teams. One played the first hour, and the second played the final 30 minutes with those players alternating on Tuesday night
- Butland, Jacob, McCarthy, McNair, Drameh, Gyabi, Omur, Zambrano, Akintola, Kamara, Destan (Burstow replaced after 30 minutes)
- Konyaspor’s team looked like this: Gungordu, Yanik, Yazgili, Andzouana, Bosluk, Ibrahimoglu, Cobanoglu, Muleka, Turuc (c), Colley, Kramer. Subs: Aydin (GK), Tirpanci, Dagdevir, Bars, Ozcelik, Mata, Tasci, Yagmur.
- Dillon Phillips and Ryan Giles both came on at half-time for Butland and Jacob
- Ajaji, Coyle, Egan, Slater, Crooks, Dowell, Millar and McBurnie came on after an hour
- Belloumi not risked after hlding his hamstring
- The Tigers are next in action on Tuesday when they play Rizespor in Maribor
