Police have confirmed a 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent

A man was seriously injured when he was “stabbed with a chisel” during an alleged “road rage incident” in the Anlaby area. A 51-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following the incident on Springfield Way on Thursday afternoon (July 23).
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “At approximately 4pm, officers were called to Springfield Way, Anlaby, following reports that a man had been stabbed with a chisel after an alleged altercation between two men, believed to have followed a road rage incident. Emergency services attended and a 31-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries to his leg.”
Detective Inspector Matthew Grantham said: “Following the report, as a part of lines of enquiry, I can confirm a 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and he remain in police custody at this time.
“If you believe you have any information, CCTV or dashcam footage from the area that may assist our enquiries, please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 26*103151.”
