The Robins will be without a number of key forwards this weekend in Merseyside
Tom Amone of Hull KR in action against Leigh Leopards
Willie Peters has confirmed his Hull KR squad for this weekend’s clash against rivals Hull FC at Magic Weekend.
The Robins fell to a disappointing defeat last time out against Leeds Rhinos but they have the opportunity to get back on the horse quickly against the Black and Whites, who have struggled for form all season.
KR haven’t lost against Hull since 2023, winning the last seven derbies, and they’d dearly love to get over the line in front of what is expected to be a big crowd at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.
There’s no Dean Hadley this week of course with the back-rower missing out after failing a HIA. That will be a big loss for the Robins, but they do look set to be boosted by the return of Sauaso Sue, who has been out with a shoulder injury.
Jez Litten has also been named in the squad as he pushes to return from an ankle issue which has seen him miss the last two Super League games.
Tevita Pangai Jr drops out of the fold this week as the serves the first match of the six-game suspension he received for gouging. The forward clashed with Jake Connor during the contest with Leeds Rhinos at Headingley and will now miss a huge chunk of the season, including two Hull derbies.
The Robins are still without Sam Luckley due to a hamstring injury, while Arthur Mourgue remains on the sidelines, too.
Joe Burgess misses out as well with the shoulder injury he suffered against Leigh Leopards and worryingly, there’s no Tom Amone either with the prop taking a blow to the face last week.
