Images have been released of a man police would like to speak to in connection with a racially aggravated assault at Hull Paragon.
British Transport Police said a woman’s hijab was grabbed and pulled around her neck. The woman suffered bruising as a result.
Officers investigating the racially aggravated assault in June have now released CCTV images in connection with the incident. A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “At around 7.45pm on Monday 8 June, a woman was standing by the station’s doorway when a man approached.
“He grabbed her hijab and attempted to yank it off her head, pulling it tight around the woman’s neck causing bruising. The woman tried to push him off, and he eventually walked away.
“Officers would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believed he may have information that could help their investigation.”
Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 650 of 8 June. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
