Hadley has failed a second HIA in less than a month

Hull KR will be without Dean Hadley when they face off against Hull FC next weekend at Magic Weekend.
Hadley took a blow to the head inside five minutes on Friday night as the Robins went down 34-8 to Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.
The forward, who started in the front-row, collided with Tom Amone while trying to make a tackle and both men were forced off the field for head assessments. Amone passed and was allowed to return but Hadley failed and ultimately couldn’t return to the field, leaving Rovers down to 16 men.
As such, according to the protocols, Hadley will miss next week’s clash at Hill Dickinson Stadium for certain.
However, given Hadley failed a HIA in the Challenge Cup final less than a month ago, there are fears that he could be forced to stand down for an extended period of time now.
Peters was unable to clear that up after the game, but he did confirm that Hadley felt okay.
“It’s Category One,” Peters said. “He’s saying that he’s fine but it was a Cat One.
“I need to have a look at it. He’s saying that he wanted to go back on and he should have gone back on and he felt OK. I need to have a look at that.
“They were both busted but Dean felt that he needed a bit of time because he was split open. A decision was made and now we’ll make sure Dean is okay. But from speaking to him at half-time and after the game, he seems in a good space. Dean’s a priority, but the decision was made.
“I’m so glad he’s in that England squad because he deserves to be in that England squad. What he does for us in phenomenal and whenever he doesn’t play or comes off, something gives whether it’s interchange or a kick pressure, he’s always leading that. He’s a superstar in my eyes.”
On the prospect of Hadley missing more than just one game, he added: “It’s something we need to look at, or the medical staff do. That’s out of my hands. We’ll go through the process where we need to and I’m sure the doctors will speak to the relevant people.”
