Hull FC are back at home this weekend and are desperate for a result.

Andy Last wants to see a desperate Hull FC performance against Huddersfield Giants on Saturday afternoon, with the side low on confidence and needing to do whatever it takes to get a win.
Hosting the Giants – now coached by Jim Lenihan – at the MKM Stadium, Hull go into the clash on the back of four successive defeats – and face Super League’s bottom place side who themselves have lost their last six with just two wins to their name all season.
Aware of what’s at stake, Last has laid out the big improvements for his side and they all centre on attack, and while it could be another scrappy game akin to Friday’s 12-4 defeat at Warrington Wolves, it’s getting the win by any means necessary what matters most.
“It’s the old cliché, but we need to take it week by week,” Last said. “We’re a team that’s a little bit low confidence. We’ve lost four on the bounce now and they’ve all been in similar sort of fashion.
“We’ve had enough field position to win the games, but we just haven’t got the craft and creativity to get across the line. And that’s something that we need to work on. We need to make the players aware of it when we review, practice it on the training field, and transfer what you do on the training field into game situations.
“What’s difficult is in game situations, there’s that pressure, the scoreboard, there’s the opponent, etc, etc. And we’re just not quite coming up with enough to get the two points.
“We just need a win, as a club, as a team, we’re just looking to get a win and it doesn’t matter how we get the win. I just think the team needs a confidence of going into training on a Monday morning on the back of getting two points.
“Again, we’re just obviously very, very low on confidence, a couple of passes are not quite hitting the mark, a couple of lead lines not quite hitting the inside shoulder, and a couple of play choices which haven’t been the right ones. It’s disappointing. We just need to get a win next week.”
Hull, without 14 players for the Warrington game, could welcome back James Bell into the action. The loose-forward has been out with a knee injury. Jed Cartwright is also in contention, having missed the last 14 weeks or so with a hamstring issue.
