Hull FC take on Warrington Wolves on Friday night.
Andy Last has made two changes to Hull FC’s 21-man squad ahead of Friday night’s game at Warrington Wolves. The Black and Whites welcome back Amir Bourouh and Matty Laidlaw into the fold, with Davy Litten and Joe Phillips dropping out.
Bourouh and Laidlaw have passed their necessary return-to-play protocols after failed HIAs to take their places. Litten has a knee injury that saw him miss Hull’s last game at Leigh, whereas Phillips, who was 18th man for the clash, makes way.
Herman Ese’ese is named once again and is two weeks closer to making his long anticipated comeback. The prop last played in August and has been in rehab ever since after rupturing his Achilles tendon.
Elsewhere, Leeds Rhinos loan players Jeremiah Mata’utia and Ethan O’Neill are both included again. Aidan Sezer, who was dropped for the Leigh game, is also named. Ben Johnson and Lennon Clark, who made their senior debuts against the Leopards, both hold their spots.
Meanwhile, Jed Cartwright, who is seemingly nearing his return after over three months out with a hamstring injury, isn’t named. The back row forward posted on social media on Sunday to suggest he was closing in on full fitness once again.
Cartwright and Litten are two of 14 players missing for Hull. The side are also without Will Pryce (ACL), Lewis Martin (ankle), John Asiata (hamstring), James Bell (knee), Sam Lisone (pec), Ligi Sao (shoulder), Connor Bailey (collarbone), Arthur Romano (ankle), Brad Fash (knee), and Joe Ward (ACL). Yusuf Aydin and Roman Dawson are suspended and each have five games to serve.
