Hull City are in the bottom three of this table

Hull City are back in the big time among the Premier League elite, and this means travelling to and playing in some of the best stadiums in the world. The Tigers had been outside the top tier since their 2016/17 relegation, which saw the club finish 18th on 34 points and join Middlesbrough and Sunderland in dropping down to the Championship. Boro are the only club of the three not to have fallen into League One since, with City and Sunderland both enduring the ignominy of third-tier football after the heights of the Premier League. But just like Sunderland, the seesaw journey has now taken the Tigers back to the promised land after that famous 1-0 victory over Boro in the Championship play-off final at Wembley.
It now means journeys to some of the most famous stadiums in the world, such as Manchester United’s Old Trafford, Liverpool’s Anfield and Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium. With this in mind, and with City stars enjoying the delights of Las Vegas in recent days, we got King Casino to take a look at this Premier League table ranked by capacity.

City’s long-term stadium plans
City might be in the Premier League stadium capacity relegation zone right now, but that doesn’t mean it will always be the case. Much like their new Premier League rivals, the Tigers have plans to eventually up the capacity of their stadium. Multi-million-pound upgrades are already in full swing this summer, with a particular focus on improving the media-specific areas of the MKM Stadium. But Hull Live has already reported on the club’s desire to increase the ground’s capacity one day. Amid the ‘Sports Village’ plans that were mooted, Hull Live reported in 2023 : “There are also longer-term plans to increase the capacity as part of a wider refurbishment scheme of the 25,500-seater stadium which celebrated its 20th anniversary at the back end of last year.”
