Friday 13 was not an unlucky day for this winner!
An East Yorkshire mum struck lucky one of the unluckiest days of the year in the EuroMillions draw. She won an incredible £1,000,000 through her EuroMillions Millionaire Maker Raffle code.
The woman in her 40s, who wishes to remain anonymous, was feeling lucky on what is typically considered an unlucky day – Friday 13 -and became an overnight millionaire in the draw last month. She now plans to donate to a charity close to her family.
Speaking on her win, she said: “It’s a scary but wonderful feeling. We’re going to take our time deciding what’s right for our family’s future.”
Abbie Suddick, Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “Who knew Friday 13 would prove so lucky for our mystery winner? Congratulations to her and her family, and all the best for your future plans.”
