
The market will be ‘full of local talent’
A new Farmer’s Market with fresh locally produced and handmade produce and family fun is coming to Trinity Square in Old Town this Friday (April 10).
Parents looking for things to do in Hull during the Easter holidays might want to check out the face-painting and free entertainment on offer.
While stocks last, there will also be free Easter eggs provided for the little ones. The event is being organised by Nicola Hudson, owner of Little Hummingbird Events, which has previously held markets at Beverley’s Flemingate and the Humber Bridge Country Park.
The Hull City Centre Farmers Markers is a monthly farmers market and makers market by Little Hummingbird Events in collaboration with Hull City Council.
Stalls will be set up outside Hull Minster and will include unique items for sale handmade by vendors, as well as tasty fresh produce from across the region.
Visitors can also check out the stalls set up by young entrepreneurs, who have been given free space to help the get off to a good start with their burgeoning businesses.
Nicola said: “Little Hummingbird Events are always free to attend, full of local talent and supporting small and independent.
“Each event is hand curated and sourced from a fine selection of small businesses and presented to our audiences at carefully chosen locations.”
Previous events have had stallholders selling fresh vegetables, a fishmonger, a bakery, a delicatessen, homebaked sweet treats. The makers market vendors will be selling homemade items.
