The Coventry City manager has given a positive verdict on Sergej Jakirovic’s Hull City
Frank Lampard might not have been impressed with Hull City’s pitch – but he was full of admiration for Sergej Jakirovic’s team after seeing his champions elect held to a 0-0 draw.
The Tigers not only stopped Lampard’s Coventry City from winning at the MKM Stadium, they limited them to just one shot on target and one of their lowest XG totals of the season.
Lampard, whose team is now 12 points clear at the top of the table with only five games remaining, noted how hard his men had to battle against the Tigers.

“That’s why they are where they are. So I thought we competed really well with them.”
