Hull KR host Hull FC in the 250th Hull derby this Good Friday, with a sold out crowd of over 12,000 expected at Craven Park. First clashing in 1899, 249 derbies have taken place since, with the milestone game kicking off Easter’s blockbuster Super League weekend.

Both sides come into the clash on the back of wins last weekend, with Rovers marking their return to East Hull with a 52-10 drubbing of St Helens. And back over the river Hull, the Black and Whites also got over the line, hanging on after a late Catalans Dragons comeback to record a 24-20 victory.

In fact, Hull take on their fierce rivals after back-to-back wins, also defeating Leeds Rhinos, and while confidence is brewing, this is a different level of challenge. But they enter the lion’s den with nothing to lose. Rovers are massive favourites again. But as we all know, form counts for little in derbies. It’s time now for someone to grab the game by the scruff of it’s neck, and lead their side to victory. 80 minutes of pulsating derby action await. Bring it on.
