City will be backed by a sold-out following at the Kassam Stadium on Good Friday afternoon
Former Oxford United striker Kyle Joseph is looking forward to returning to his old club, with both the U’s and Hull City desperate for points, albeit for different reasons.
City know three points at the Kassam Stadium would be the perfect start to a crucial Easter weekend, while United remain inside the bottom three, despite a surge of points before their defeat at Southampton before the international break.
Just seven games are left for both clubs to achieve their ultimate aims this term, and City has a chance to take advantage of the Saints’ FA Cup exploits against Arsenal this weekend and extend the gap to the chasing pack with time quickly running out.
After the visit to Oxfordshire, Sergej Jakirovic’s side host leaders Coventry City in what looks set to be a thrilling contest under the MKM Stadium lights on Easter Monday evening.

“They’re games to relish,” Joseph told Hull Live. “You want the games coming thick and fast, especially after we have a little break. It’ll be good to get those two games done and dusted.”
“You want to take as many points as you can. Easter weekend is a bit of a mad one. Where you start it and where you finish it could be two completely different places.
“I know it’ll be another big opportunity for us to go to Oxford, put in a good performance, get free points, and then we’ve got Coventry on Monday to go again.
“I think we’ve shown this season that we can play against the best teams, especially at home. If you look back to the Leicester game, where there was an unbelievable atmosphere, we’ve come away with three points.
“We’ve got to look at that again. We’ve gone toe to toe with some of the best teams in this league, and we know what we’re capable of. We’ve got that confidence in ourselves to go and win games and go and win important games of football.”
