The Challenge Cup quarter-final draw will be held on national television next week, with Hull FC and Hull KR set to learn their fate should they get through this weekend’s round of 16 ties.

The Black and Whites take on Leigh Leopards at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday afternoon, while the Robins take on Huddersfield Giants in West Yorkshire, also on Saturday, with Willie Peters’ side looking to take the next step in their cup defence.

Meanwhile, the quarter-final draw will take place on BBC One’s Morning Live programme, presented by Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones, on Tuesday 17 March.

Morning Live is a daily topical magazine programme that airs on weekday mornings between 9.30am and 10.45am on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, giving rugby league and the Challenge Cup national television exposure. Skelton was also part of Channel 4’s Super League presenting team as a pitch side reporter for two years and Jones has close ties with the game ever since the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

The draw is due to be conducted around 10:20am. However this is subject to change.

It will feature eight teams after this weekend’s round of 16 action, with the ball numbers for the draw to be confirmed following the fourth round ties.
