The streets of Beverley are set to be filled with wagging tails once again as the town’s popular clue-solving Easter trail for Dogs makes its highly anticipated return for 2026. Following a successful debut last year, the event is returning ‘bigger and better than ever’.

Created by the award-winning dog boutique Oh My Dog, located on Dyer Lane, the unique adventure encourages owners and their pets to explore the historic town centre. The trail, which runs from March 29 to April 10, challenges participants to solve six clues hidden at various dog-friendly establishments.

Last year’s inaugural event saw more than 100 dogs sniffing out secrets across the town. This year, the stakes are higher; participants begin their journey at Oh My Dog to collect their first clue, eventually gathering letters from local businesses to reveal a secret password. Successful sleuths who complete the circuit return to the boutique to claim their Easter treasure and a completion certificate.

Lucy Thompson, owner of Oh My Dog, expressed her delight at the event’s growth. “Last year’s Easter trail was such a joy to see come to life. We had over 100 dogs take part, and it was amazing watching people explore Beverley with their dogs while supporting local businesses. Beverley is such a wonderfully dog-friendly town and this event is a fun way to celebrate that,” she said.

The initiative is designed to be completed at a leisurely pace, making it a suitable holiday activity for families and local residents. By integrating various stops at independent shops and cafes, the trail aims to boost footfall and highlight the welcoming nature of the local business community.

Lucy added: “We’ve made this year’s trail even more exciting with more clues and more places to discover. It’s a great way for dog owners to enjoy a day out, spend time together, and support some of the brilliant independent businesses that make our town so special.”

With interest expected to surpass the success of the 2025 trail, organisers are encouraging those interested to visit the boutique on Dyer Lane or follow the shop’s social media channels (@ohmydogltd) for further updates.
