They are the only two teams in Super League without a win in 2026.
Huddersfield Giants head coach Luke Robinson is braced for a backlash from Hull KR after their Las Vegas hammering.
Both sides head into today’s clash as the only Super League teams still searching for a win. The Giants have opened their campaign with defeats to Catalans Dragons, Wakefield Trinity and Castleford Tigers, while the Robins were stunned by York Knights on opening night before being thrashed by Leeds Rhinos in the United States.
But Robinson insists he is expecting a fired-up Hull KR side rather than one feeling sorry for themselves after their Sin City setback.
Rovers head coach Willie Peters has named an unchanged squad and could stick with the same 17 that featured at Allegiant Stadium, giving them the chance to immediately respond.
Asked what he expects from the reigning champions this weekend, Robinson said: “A response.
“They’re a fabulous club and what they’ve done over the last couple of years has been admirable.
“What they’ve achieved over the last 12 months has been phenomenal, so when they have a bad result like that in such a big game – a real showcase for the club – you expect a reaction.
“It was unbelievable what they did against Brisbane Broncos, to go there and dominate them and then fly around the world to play another good side in Leeds. That’s a difficult proposition.
“But after the way they performed, I’m expecting the best of Hull KR.”
The Giants meanwhile are doing it tough, with Sam Halsall and Zac Woolford becoming the latest stars to be sidelined due to a hamstring injury and a head knock respectively. Niall Evalds, Adam Swift, Adam Clune, Harry Rushton, Joe Greenwood and Liam Sutcliffe are all also currently out through injury.
