The Easter period will be absolutely crucial for City’s hopes of securing a play-off place
Hull City’s two huge games over the pivotal Easter weekend have both been selected by Sky Sports for live coverage, after the latest broadcast selections were confirmed by the EFL.
City go to struggling Oxford United on Good Friday, though that game at the Kassam Stadium will still kick off at 3pm as originally planned, but the Easter Monday showdown with leaders Coventry City has been pushed back.
Originally scheduled to kick off at 3pm, the visit of Frank Lampard’s Sky Blues will be the feature game at 8pm on Sky Sports Football, with City aiming to halt their impressive run towards what increasingly looks like a Championship title win.
The Tigers were sent to Coventry on the opening day of the season and came away with a battling point in a goalless draw, and they remain one of the few teams to stop Lampard’s men from scoring.

A week later, Oxford were the first visitors to the MKM Stadium in the Championship and played their part in a five-goal thriller which saw Oli McBurnie slam in a 93rd-minute winner.
Before the trip to Oxfordshire, where the Tigers slumped to a 1-0 defeat on Bonfire Night last season, Sergej Jakirovic’s men host play-off rivals Millwall this weekend in front of the television cameras looking to bounce back to Tuesday’s defeat at Ipswich Town and then go to Wrexham on Tuesday night, in another contest in front of the cameras.
They then face two struggling sides in West Brom at The Hawthorns and then the Yorkshire derby with already relegated Sheffield Wednesday at the MKM Stadium in the final game before the March international break.
After the Easter weekend has been and gone, just five games of the regular season will remain, with City going to Sheffield United, hosting Birmingham City, and then away trips to Leicester City and Charlton Athletic before finishing at home to Norwich City.
