The Hull FC team tonight.

John Cartwright has named his Hull FC side to take on Salford RLFC in the Challenge Cup this Friday night. The Black and Whites face the reformed Championship club at the last 32 stage, with 2026 competitive action beginning over the Pennines.

As promised, Cartwright has gone strong for the tie. The Hull head coach will debut six of his new signings, with Arthur Romano, Jake Arthur, Harvie Hill, and Joe Batchelor all named in the starting side. Connor Bailey and Sam Lisone will feature from the bench.

Davy Litten is named at full-back, with Will Pryce not risked. Harvey Barron and Tom Briscoe are on the wings, with the veteran making his 450th career appearance. Romano and Zak Hardaker are in the centres, with Arthur and Aidan Sezer in the halves.

Up front, Ligi Sao is paired with Hill at prop, with former Salford hooker Amir Bourouh at dummy half. Batchelor and Jed Cartwright are in the back row with Yusuf Aydin at loose-forward.

Bailey and Lisone are joined on the bench by Brad Fash and Cade Cust. Lloyd Kemp is the 18th man.
