The driver is ‘believed to have stopped at the scene but did not leave any details before leaving the area’

A woman was injured when she was hit by a recovery truck while she was crossing the road in Hull. The incident happened on Marfleet Lane on Thursday afternoon (January 15).

Police say that, at around 3.45pm, a white recovery truck was travelling on Preston Road before turning right onto Marfleet Lane. It then hit the woman who was going across the road at a pedestrian crossing.

“Officers are now appealing for the driver of the vehicle to come forward, and for anyone who was in the area at the time or has CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist with the ongoing investigation, to please contact us on the non-emergency number 101, quoting log 328 of 15 January.

“Alternatively, if you wish to provide information anonymously, you can do so via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
