Another contract extension confirmed by Hull KR.
Joe Burgess has agreed to a new one-year extension with Hull KR and has set his sights on more success following last year’s historic season in East Hull.
The England international has secured his future at Sewell Group Craven Park until the end of the 2027 Super League season.
The winger was an influential figure in Hull KR’s treble-winning campaign, earning a recall to England’s set-up a decade after his last international cap.
He has scored 42 tries in 48 appearances for Rovers since arriving at the club ahead of the 2024 season.
“I’ve loved my time in East Hull since I moved over. The people and the city are lovely. All the lads are great, and we’ve really gelled over the past two years,” Burgess said.
“It shows with winning the treble last year, and we get to go again this year and try to do it again.
“To be able to do it all over again with my best friend, Gilly [Oliver Gildart], I can’t ask for much more. He can send me into the corner a few more times over the next two seasons.”
Burgess, 31, crossed the whitewash 24 times in 25 appearances across 2025, including two tries in the Super League Grand Final triumph over former club Wigan Warriors.
Hull KR head coach Willie Peters added: “Joe (Burgess) has been outstanding since he joined the club in January 2024.
“He’s a great finisher, as we all know, but it’s what he does off the ball that impresses me and his team-mates. Joe is a character off the field and a popular member of the dressing room.
“Joe was rewarded for an outstanding year by playing for England in last year’s Ashes series.”
