Hull City begin 2026 at the MKM Stadium against a Stoke City side that they beat just over a month ago in Staffordshire, in what turned into a fiery lunchtime contest.
The two sides were fined for their part in the post-match squabbles on Tuesday and both will hope for a quieter affair to start the New Year.
City come into the game on the back of a thumping away win at Middlesbrough on Monday night, while Stoke were beaten again, this time at home to Sheffield United, with boss Mark Robins calling out the home fans for booing his substitutions.
Between now and kick-off at 3pm, we’ll have all the build-up followed by match action and reaction on New Year’s Day in East Yorkshire in the first of three consecutive home games for Sergej Jakirovic’s Tigers.
