Motorcyclist suffers ‘life-threatening injuries’ in Boxing Day crash

Police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident in the Wetwang area

A motorcyclist suffered “life-threatening injuries” in a crash on an East Yorkshire road on Boxing Day. “Significant road closures” were reported by police in the Wetwang area following the incident on the A166 close to the junction with the B1248.

At around 1.30pm, a silver Kia Rio was involved in a collision with a red Honda motorbike. Updating on the incident today, a Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended the scene and the motorcyclist, a 51-year-old man, was taken to hospital to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries.

“If anyone witnessed the collision, or has dashcam or CCTV from around the time the incident occurred, please contact our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 203 of 26 December 2025.”
