The event will get under way with a glittering reception at The Deep
An exciting new business conference is heading to Hull thanks to an international link-up. The Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) to bring the Energetic Future Conference 2026 to the Humber later this month.
The conference theme – The North Sea: From Vision to Value – will highlight how the sea is evolving into a shared industrial ecosystem, linking the UK and Norway through hydrogen trade, C02 transport, offshore wind and maritime logistics. The conference will examine how the pieces connect across borders and industries and what it takes to make the ecosystem work in practice, with numerous leading businesses already taking part.
The event will see a large delegation of Norwegian business leaders descend on the region to look at business opportunities in and around the Humber, with the event getting under way with a glittering reception at The Deep. The event will be hosted by the Deputy Norwegian Ambassador to the UK, Mariam Naqvi, on the evening of Tuesday, November 17.
During that day, delegates will attend site visits, starting with Catch in North Lincolnshire to learn more about the industries around the Humber, before splitting into two groups to visit businesses on the north and south banks of the Humber. At Catch, there will be presentations by Phillips 66 and VPI and Viking CCS. The first group will then stay in Lincolnshire to visit RWE for lunch and then on to Able UK before returning to Hull in the afternoon.
