It’s the first full day and night of Hull Fair and it’s been packed full of happy faces. It opened at noon today and runs through until 11pm before a day off tomorrow.
Friday night was also busy, with organisers saying: “What an incredible start to the week, possibly one of the busiest opening nights we’ve had for quite some time. We are back today from 12 o’clock with the larger rides opening slightly later between 13.00 – 14.00. We are open until 23.00 tonight.
“Please be aware of ongoing road closures affecting the city centre particularly if you’re traveling east to west. There are special bus services from East Yorkshire and Stagecoach buses.
“If you’re travelling with your children take advice from Humberside Police by taking an up-to-date photo of any young people in your party, making it easier to identify what clothes they are dressed in; also write down a mobile number and place it in a secure pocket – should anyone go missing someone is easily contactable. Humberside Police are on duty throughout the fair.”
