Here’s how the scoring worked out for man of the match
Hull KR half-back Mikey Lewis was named the man of the match in the Grand Final as Rovers secured the treble at Old Trafford with a 24-6 victory.
The man of the match award, named after the sport’s great hero in Rob Burrow, is awarded by the journalists inside Old Trafford, with 48 journos voting for their pick of man of the match.
Rovers dominated the selections with not a single vote for a Wigan player. There were eight different players selected for man of the match, with Lewis getting by far the greater share of the vote. Lewis had over 50 percent of the vote with 25 people selecting the try-scoring half-back and former Man of Steel.
Next was Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, who enjoyed the best performance of his year-log Rovers career. The Kiwi great was playing in his last-ever match and went out in the best possible fashion with a towering display through the middle.
Joining Waerea-Hargreaves with seven votes was hooker Jez Litten, who also picked up seven selections. James Batchelor was next on the list with three votes, full-back Arthur Mourgue got two votes as did Peta Hiku. Joe Burgess got just one vote for his two tries, while captain Elliot Minchella also got a vote.
