The seven-part series hits TV screen this month

Hull KR have confirmed the broadcast plans for the club’s documentary charting their incredible 2025 season and the turnaround in fortunes of the club in recent years.

Renaissance, as has previously been revealed by Hull Live, is a seven-part documentary which will air on Sky Sports in the UK and on Fox Sports in Australia. Aussie audiences will get a first look with the show making its debut this Sunday February 8, while in the UK the first two episodes will be shown from Thursday February 12, following Rovers’ Super League season opener against York Knights.

Episodes one and two will air at 10:15pm and 10:45pm on the 12th, coming straight after the match with York. All seven episodes will then be made available to download via on demand.

Those supporters who don’t have Sky Television will still get a chance to see the series, which in the coming months will find its eventual home on the Hull KR YouTube channel.

Created by local firm Eski and produced by Hull KR owner Neil Hudgell and chairman Paul Sewell, the seven part series will put the focus on the supporters, club staff and the team in charting the rebirth of the club in recent years, and in particular highlighting the treble-winning season.

Chairman Paul Sewell said: “We meet the fans, players, coaches, employees, owners and team off the pitch. What emerges is a love story between a club and a city, and between people who refuse to accept anything other than the best for each other.”

A select audience have already had the chance to see episode four of the seven-part series when it had its premier at Hull University before Christmas. Here is the full episode synopsis.

Episode 1: We go again – Starting at the conclusion of the 2024 Super League Grand Final, the story o the club’s past is told.

Episode 2: Red Army – The focus switches to the supporters against the back drop of two derby games against city rivals Hull FC.

Episode 3: A Little Respect – How does the club engage the fans and those around them in their attempt to build a community? Meanwhile, preparations for Wembley and the Challenge Cup final begin.

Episode 4: Memories Are Better Than Dreams – The story of the Challenge Cup final and the subsequent celebrations.

Episode 5: Beyond The First Team – As the team move towards the end of the season, the profile switches to the one big team under the Hull KR banner, from the women’s team to the fans and community.

Episode 6: Down To Business – How the board have influenced the change happening at the club.

Episode 7: End Game – The conclusion of the club’s greatest-ever season plays out amid a backdrop of nerves and uncertainty.
