A hotel in the centre of Hull with more than 100 bedrooms has hit the market with owners looking for more than £7.5m. Agents are looking for offers for the freehold of the purpose-built Ibis hotel on Ferensway and Osborne Street, which is currently fully let to Accor UK Economy Hotels.

The 106 bedroom venue is spread over ground and three upper floors, with a lobby, bar and dining room also on the ground floor. The bedrooms are a combination of double and twin rooms and are all of a similar size and layout, each including a prefabricated en-suite shower capsule.

Tom Cunningham, UK regional director, Hotel Capital Markets, Savills Manchester, said: “This is a unique investment opportunity in the bustling centre of Hull. The hotel is popular for both business and leisure visitors and is ideally located for all that Hull city centre has to offer.”

The hotel is on the western edge of Hull city centre and Savills highlights its accessibility via the A63 trunk road and M62 motorway. It is not far from shops and restaurants of Princes Quay, as well as other nearby shops and bars of the city centre.

Accor’s own marketing material for the hotel says: “A stone’s throw from the banks of the Humber, our hotel is just a couple of minutes on foot from the new Bonus Arena, St Stephen’s and Princes Quay complexes, so you can shop until you drop before heading back to us for a great night’s sleep. Not ready for bed yet? Within our immediate neighbourhood, you’ll find some of Hull’s best-loved bars, restaurants and pubs. “

Prices for the venue’s double and twin rooms start at about £40 per night. The pet-friendly hotel also hosts a restaurant and cafe that sells snacks and drinks around the clock.
