The latest transfer news from around the MKM Stadium

Young midfielder Harry Vaughan will spend the remainder of the English season on loan with Irish outfit Bohemians, Hull City have now confirmed, ahead of the Irish campaign getting underway next month.

The 21-year-old, who arrived at City from Oldham Athletic in January 2023 and shot to prominence in the Championship under Liam Rosenior when he made his debut at Blackburn Rovers, has not featured in the first team this season since being named on the bench against Rovers in August.

A regular with the Under-21s, Vaughan has previously gone on loan to Bristol Rovers, where he played 11 times for the Gas, before returning to City in the summer of 2024.

Bohs kick off their League of Ireland campaign against St Patrick’s at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on February 8, with Trafford-born Vaughan joining Alan Reynolds’ side for pre-season training.

Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Vaughan is out of contract this summer, though the Tigers do have the option to extend that by a further 12 months should they wish.

City are keen to try and move out more young players on loan during January, in a bid to give them valuable experience of playing regular football, and Vaughan is the first to depart during the winter window.

Another of Vaughan’s Under-21 teammates, Tyrell Sellars-Fleming, who has been on loan at former club Scunthorpe United in the National League, is set to be recalled by City and move to League Two outfit Grimsby Town.

The 20-year-old striker has scored five goals in 13 games for the Iron and leaves Glanford Park with the club sixth in the National League in their season back following promotion, while the Mariners are 12th in the league above, and on the fringes of the play-off pack.
