A newly built tunnel on the A63 in Hull is due to open to traffic “in the coming weeks”, National Highways has said.
Work started in 2020 on the £355m Castle Street project to build a new split-level junction which involves lowering part of the busy road through an underpass.
Work was due to finish by April 2025, but that was delayed by a year due to “extremely challenging ground conditions”, National Highways said at the time.
During the final phase of work overnight closures between Daltry Street and Roger Millward Way will take place most nights throughout January.
