A sadistic murderer who callously stamped on another’s man during a ferocious street attack – and then boasted about how “dangerous” he was – heads the criminals jailed between July and December. Other nasty cases included that of an “unpredictable” knifeman who stabbed two people in random attacks, one of them an attempted murder.
There was also a thug who once bragged “I’m the King of East Hull” and a nightmare bully who made a “blood-curdling threat” to burn down the homes of his ex-girlfriend and her mother. A whole series of sex offenders have been given very lengthy prison sentences during the second part of the year.
These are some of the disturbing cases that have dominated hearings at Hull Crown Court and, for some of them, Grimsby Crown Court, between July and December.
