Andy MedcalfA search operation is currently taking place after reports of people entering the sea at Withernsea in East Yorkshire.
HM Coastguard said the incident was reported shortly after 15:00 GMT on 2 January and a search involving a rescue helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft was under way.
