The latest transfer news from around the MKM Stadium ahead of the window opening
Hull City defender Cody Drameh is the subject of strong interest from Championship rivals ahead of the January transfer window, with play-off rivals Millwall, Stoke City and Preston North End thought to be among his admirers.
Drameh has not played as much as he would have liked so far this season, becoming an understudy once again to skipper Lewie Coyle once he recovered from the hamstring injury he picked up in pre-season.
The full-back hasn’t played a minute in City‘s past seven games, with his most recent outing coming off the bench when he played 12 minutes in the defeat to Ipswich Town at the end of November.
So far this season, Drameh has amassed 12 appearances, and in those games, he has played just under 800 minutes, as well as an outing in the Carabao Cup exit at Wrexham in August.
He missed the 2-2 draw at Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day with a slight hip complaint and again was missing from Monday night’s 1-0 win at promotion rivals Middlesbrough.
Hull Live understands City would be prepared to listen to offers for the defender, who turned 24 earlier this month, having opted against letting him leave in the summer, despite firm interest.
City know they must allow first-team players to move on before they can bring in players in the winter transfer window, which opens on Thursday, and allowing Drameh to move on would enable them to kick-start their business.
