Hull City arrive on Teesside looking to complete a revenge mission against Middlesbrough for their 4-1 hammering at the MKM Stadium at the beginning of December.
City were four down at the break after a blistering opening period from Boro, before Joe Gelhardt restored some pride in the second period, but Sergej Jakirovic’s men still suffered their heaviest defeat of the campaign.
Since then, however, the Tigers have gone four games unbeaten with three successive wins before their 2-2 draw at bottom side Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day.
