GoogleFootpath improvements are to be carried out along a main road running through Withernsea.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council said it was investing £200,000 to upgrade the paths along the A1033 Queen Street between Station Road and the mini roundabout at the Tesco store.
The project is due to start on Monday 1 December and is scheduled to take about eight weeks to complete.
The work will be carried out between 08:00 and 15:00 GMT on weekdays and temporary traffic lights will be in operation.
East Riding of Yorkshire CouncilThe scheme covers the length of Queen Street and includes structural footpath repairs and the replacement of damaged kerbing and channels.
The council said access to properties within the works area would be maintained throughout the project, however delays are possible.
Councillor Paul West, the authority’s cabinet member for environment and transport, said: “These paths are in need of improvement for local pedestrians, and I want to thank residents, businesses and motorists for bearing with us while this work is completed.”
