It’s that time of year again as Hull gears up for Christmas – and one of its most beloved traditions is on the way very soon.
Santa will head to Hull for a festive celebration as part of the annual Santa Arrival Parade on November 23. The event is free, meaning everyone can get get into the festive spirit.
The parade will make its way through the streets of Hull to Princes Quay, before Santa declares his grotto – managed by the magical Great Grotto’s team – officially open and switches on the lights at Princes Quay shopping centre.
Of course, this will be far from the first time Santa has led a parade in Hull with the annual tradition dating back decades. In this gallery, we take a look back to relive the magic of the Santa Parade over time, going right back to the early 1990s. The photos may well stir up some festive nostalgia!
