Police have thanked members of the public for their ongoing assistance to help bring Sam home

Humberside Police are continuing to search for missing 24-year-old Sam. The force said they have been following up on ‘hundreds of leads’ to try and locate the missing man from Hull.

Leading the search is Detective Inspector Owen Stafford who said: “With support from specialist trained officers, scent dogs, and the Underwater Search Unit, over the last seven days we have been trying to trace Sam’s movements and piece together where he may have travelled to. The last confirmed sighting of Sam remains in Victoria Dock in Hull, when he was seen on CCTV walking around Axholme Court on Plimsoll Way at around 12.10pm on Thursday, 6 November 2025.

“Our Under Water Search Unit were immediately deployed to conduct a specialist search of the area, and they have continued this search alongside partners over the course of the week. The local community can expect a continued presence and high visibility from our Under Water Search officers in the area as we head into the weekend, and we also have numerous officers from different departments across the force searching in the areas on the banks of the Humber Estuary and following up on numerous leads which have come to light since we first received the report that Sam had gone missing.

“Our thoughts remain with Sam’s family at what is understandably an extremely distressing time, and a Missing Person Officer is actively engaged with Sam’s family to offer additional specialist support. I want to offer my thanks to members of the public for their assistance in our search to locate Sam, and to everyone who has come forward with information. Whether you have participated in our search or shared our appeals online, your help has been invaluable.

“We can confirm the what3words for his last sighting Email.Down.Rescue. If anyone has any information, no matter how small, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 390 of 6 November.”

Yesterday, Sam’s mum spoke to Hull Live and said: “I don’t know what we are running on but we want to stay awake until we find him. I don’t know what food or drink he has had, he didn’t have any money on him, but someone could have given him some if he has been sitting somewhere.”

She has been leaving food and water care packages out for him in Hull in the hope he might find one. Sam was last seen wearing brown jogging bottoms, black walking boots and a black jacket with a hood.
