Work to improve a section of a road and footpath in an East Yorkshire town is due to begin in early November.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council said it was investing £196,000 to upgrade Seavy Road in Goole, between the junctions of Anderson Road and Grange Road.
The work, which will be carried out during the day, is scheduled to start on 3 November and take up to six weeks to complete.
It includes resurfacing the existing road and footpath, as well as the installation of new kerbing and drainage channels the council said.
Access to properties would be maintained at all times, a spokesperson added.
Ahead of the works, Councillor Paul West, cabinet member for environment and transport, thanked local residents and motorists for “their cooperation and patience while we carry out these improvements”.
