He ignored their frequent pleas to stop
Two horrified women were left “disgusted” after a man repeatedly bombarded them with video calls showing him involved in explicit sexualised behaviour. The relentless “worrying behaviour” continued over a period of two to three months despite frequent pleas for him to stop targeting them.
Both women were badly affected and suffered increased levels of anxiety, Hull Crown Court heard. Daniel Morris, 28, of Biggin Avenue, Bransholme, Hull, admitted three offences of sending an explicit video with intent to cause alarm or distress between March and June last year.
Michael Masson, prosecuting, said that Morris made persistent video calls to two women in which he was seen involved in explicit and highly sexualised behaviour. He was warned that the police would be alerted unless he stopped his antics.
“He continued to make multiple calls,” said Mr Masson. One of the women later said: “I am pretty disgusted with what’s gone on.”
It was “worrying behaviour” from Morris. The other woman said: “This incident has made me quite anxious about things.

“It has affected my sleep and physical wellbeing. I have stopped eating as much as normal.” She was having counselling twice a week.
No mitigation was requested after an indication was given by the judge of the sentence to be imposed. Morris had a previous conviction but not for anything of a similar nature.
Judge John Thackray KC told Morris: “You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself. You pleaded guilty. All the indications are that you are genuinely remorseful and ashamed of your behaviour, which I hope will prevent any repetition.”
Morris was given a one-year suspended prison sentence, 150 hours’ unpaid work and 15 days’ rehabilitation. He was given a five-year restraining order.
