Hull FC have been dealt another injury blow ahead of Sunday’s derby against Hull KR, with Harvey Barron ruled out of the clash.
The winger went off for an HIA against Leeds Rhinos last weekend, and while he passed that initial assessment, returning to the field later in the game, he failed his further check-up on Monday. That forces the 22-year-old to sit the derby out, with the Black and Whites now up to double figures in injury blows.
In total, nine other players are already sidelined. They are Will Pryce (foot), Ed Chamberlain (hamstring), Herman Ese’ese (Achilles), Ligi Sao (knee), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), John Asiata (hamstring), Liam Knight (foot), Will Hutchinson (ankle), and Roman Dawson (ACL).
As it stands, Liam Watts and Sam Eseh (both hamstring) are doubts. However, both props have been named in the squad, with Eseh returning to the 21 as one of three changes. Young duo Jack Charles and Zach Jebson have also been brought in.
As well as Barron, Ese’ese and Chamberlain drop out, having limped off the field against Leeds last week.
