Rovers player ratings as they reach the Grand Final
Hull KR are back in the Super League Grand Final are picking up a 20-12 victory over St Helens. Oliver Gildart scored twice to help the Robins to within one win of a treble. Here are the player ratings.
Arthur Mourgue – 6: A mixed bad on the whole, coming up with some good plays but will be disappointed with the try, fooled by Deon Cross’ dummy. Went off injured late on.
Tom Davies – 6: One of his quieter games for a while but still got through his work.
Peta Hiku – 7: Was a real handful all evening. Always looked like he could come up with something.
Oliver Gildart – 8: It was a big call to select him against Jack Broadbent, but Willie Peters nearly always gets these calls right. Two tries.
Joe Burgess – 7: Strong performance from the returning winger. Didn’t put a foot wrong.
Mikey Lewis – 7: Did come up with some errors from the boot but played well on the whole.
Tyrone May – 8: Rovers’ best. Always seems to step up in the big games. Had a hand in everything.
Sauaso Sue – 7: Helped Rovers dominate the opening quarter.
Jez Litten – 7: Some stint that in a semi-final. Ran his blood to water and showed his class at times.
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves – 7: Played big minutes in the first-half with a performance that will go under the radar. Will hope the tackle from which Jon Bennison failed his HIA doesn’t get punished by MRP.
James Batchelor – 7: The typical toughness and grit in his game but produced some good carries too.
Dean Hadley – 7: Seem to say this every week but Hadley was Hadley. Rock solid.
Elliot Minchella – 7: The captain most likely topped the tackle count again. Did a good job of calming things down when required too.
Sam Luckley – 7: Caused some chaos when he came on in the first half. Carried strong.
Jai Whitbread – 7: Can’t remember the last time he had a bad game. Quality player.
Rhyse Martin – 6: Rough night with the boot in very windy conditions. Not his night.
Jack Broadbent – 7: Only got 11 minutes but was good in them. Dropped on a loose ball and made a break.
