The Tigers’ defeat at Watford was compounded by more injury trouble

Hull City have been hit by another injury concern after it was revealed that Joel Ndala has a foot problem and will not feature in the next two games.Boss Sergej Jakirovic admits the injury picked up by Ndala is a blow after the Manchester City loanee missed Saturday’s 2-1 loss at Watford.Ndala was on the bench against Southampton last Saturday but didn’t come on and was left out of the squad against the Hornets. Jakirovic says City are liaising with the Premier League club over his treatment. The England Under-20 winger will remain with the Championship club, but he has been ruled out of home games against Preston North End and Sheffield United this week before the international break.Losing Ndala is a major setback for City, who have lost Mohamed Belloumi to a hamstring injury, which has ruled him out until the middle of November.

“He has a problem with his foot,” Jakirovic told Hull Live at Vicarage Road. “It’s complicated, and together with Man City, we decided that he needs a break.

“It’s a big problem for him. It’s painful and on the bottom of his foot, so he’s out for the next two games, but he will stay here and he will be with us.”

There was better news on Saturday with the inclusion of Liam Millar in the squad for the first time since rupturing his ACL last October, though the Canadian winger didn’t get off the bench. He will hope to get some minutes against Preston North End on Tuesday night before the the visit of the Blades on Saturday.

“It’s a positive, of course,” the Croatian continued. “Just having him in the squad after 11 months (is important). He’s with us. He trained very good, and he can expect that he will get some minutes against Preston.”
