A man has been jailed for 13 years and six months for his “significant part” in one of the UK’s biggest ever drug seizures.
More than half a tonne (524kg) of cocaine with a street value of more than £42m was intercepted by National Crime Agency officers after it was landed by boat in Easington on the East Yorkshire coast in May 2024.
Colombian national Didier Reyes, 40, of no fixed address, had pleaded guilty to importing cocaine at a previous hearing.
Two men were jailed last year at Hull Crown Court for their part in the plot.
