Work is gathering pace at Hull City as the players prepare to return for the start of pre-season training next week under new head coach Sergej Jakirovic.
It’s been anything but a quiet summer at the MKM Stadium with yet another change in the manager’s office, and plenty of transfer talk.
After last season’s struggles and needing help from West Brom to ensure they survived on the final day of the season, City know they must recruit well to avoid a repeat when the new season kicks off at Coventry City on August 9.
Plenty is happening at City with Dean Holden coming in to join Jakirovic’s coaching staff, while the club remain locked in talks with a host of potential new recruits.
Those topics were all key discussion points on the latest edition of the 1904 Club podcast featuring David Prutton, James Fletcher and Kathryn Batte.
The subject of City’s interest in Louie Barry, Lewis O’Brien and Oli McBurnie were all discussed, with the Tigers working on those three deals, amongst others with the ultimate aim of backing Jakirovic with the tools he needs to make a success of this campaign.
