Police have advised the public ‘not to approach’ him in their appeal to track him down

Police are appealing for help to locate a man wanted in connection with a serious assault in East Yorkshire. Officers are keen to speak to Daniel Rutter, 37, from Leeds.

It follows an assault that is reported to have happened in Bridlington at around 11pm on Friday, December 19. Humberside Police say Rutter has known links to Bridlington, Hull and the West Yorkshire area.

A spokesperson added: “We would ask the public not to approach Daniel, but if you see him, or know where he is, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference 25*176960.

“Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
