

A new German kitchen showroom has opened its doors at the former Browns Books store in Hull city centre. Located at 22-28 George Street, Kutchenhaus Hull spans 2,000 sq. ft and is entirely devoted to showcasing cutting-edge German kitchen design, managed by industry expert Mark Shurey.
Stepping into the space previously occupied by the beloved Browns Books, a nostalgic brand deeply embedded in Hull’s retail history, customers at Kutchenhaus Hull can explore contemporary kitchen trends and ideas through 11 distinct displays, featuring top appliance manufacturers.
Mark, who hails from the local area, brings three decades of experience in the kitchen sector, having created and installed kitchen solutions for diverse clients with varying requirements. He said: “We’re delighted to open Kutchenhaus Hull and to bring something new to the area.
“We know just how loved Browns Books was, having spent 40 years in Hull centre, therefore we want to do this space justice by bringing a new lease of life to it which people can get excited about once again.”
With expertise in modern kitchens and customer service, Mark has mastered German design principles and practicality. He added: “I really enjoy showing quality product to people who are keen to improve their living spaces.
