

Commuters at Cottingham have faced delays and cancellations this morning (December 3).
It comes after police officers were seen at the railway station, residents said. A spokesperson for British Transport Police confirmed they had attended the scene.
In a statement, British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Cottingham railway station at 7.44am today (3 December) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, and a person has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
According to Trainline, the 11.12am Sheffield train and the 11.32am York train remain cancelled at the time of writing. However, all other trains appear to be running as normal.
