One of East Yorkshire’s most beloved Christmas lights displays is shining bright once again. The much-anticipated illuminations in Cottingham have been switched on for the festive season.
Focused on the village centre along Hallgate and King Street, the spectacular display has been a firm favourite for decades.
Meanwhile, Cottingham is hosting a Christmas Festival in the village centre on Sunday, November 30 between 10.30am and 4.30pm. There will be gifts, crafts, drinks and street food on sale along with an ice rink, children’s rides and more to enjoy.
A free park and ride service will be in operation for drivers heading to the event. This will be based at Cottingham High School, off Harland Way, and will be running from 9.30am until 5pm.
