Will the Tigers keep faith with the team that beat Pompey or will he make changes?

Hull City are back in action at QPR on Saturday as the final international break until late March comes and goes, and attention returns to domestic matters.

City went into the break on the back of a thrilling 3-2 win over Portsmouth at the MKM Stadium, returning to winning ways in style after seeing their six-game unbeaten run ended at Derby County.

The Tigers took an impressive 13 points from a possible 18 in the six games between international breaks, and now they face an 11-game run until FA Cup third round weekend, with the busy festive period set to have a major impact on their fortunes.

Boss Sergej Jakirovic must decide whether or not to make changes to his side, having handed Enis Destan a first start against Pompey, and he was rewarded with a first goal from the Turkish frontman.

Kyle Joseph and Joe Gelhardt added to their goals tally, and both will expect to be involved at Loftus Road, but with the return of Mo Belloumi, Jakirovic has a decision to make.

Belloumi was named on the bench last time out, though he wasn’t risked in such a tight game. The Algerian international has benefitted from two weeks on the training pitch and will want to start in the capital.

Another decision will come in midfield. Regan Slater is set to make his 200th City appearance and has been in fine form along with Matt Crooks, but Amir Hadziahmetovic is fresh off international duty and is pushing for a return.

One factor that will come into consideration is the impact of international duty on those players who went away and how they looked on their return to training this week.

Though they’re nearing a return, the game will still come too soon for John Lundstram, Oli McBurnie and Liam Millar, with the pair still on their respective roads to recovery.
