The winning design will feature on thousands of Christmas cards

MKM’s Christmas card competition is back. For the fourth consecutive year, young artists are invited to get creative – with the winning design being printed on thousands of MKM’s official Christmas cards.

The company said that all types of artwork are welcome; hand-drawn, painted, or digital. Children are also encouraged (but not required) to include festive nods to MKM, such as bricks, tools, timber or even Bricky the MKM mascot.

The competition is open to anyone in the UK aged 12 or under. This year, entries will be grouped as follows:

  • Category 1: Ages 0–3
  • Category 2: Ages 4–6
  • Category 3: Ages 7–9
  • Category 4: Ages 10–12

Entries will be judged anonymously by a panel of MKM staff, with designs assessed on creativity, originality, and festive cheer. Age categories will be fully confirmed based on the entries received to ensure a fair and balanced competition for all age groups.

Entries can be hand-drawn or digital but must be A4-sized and submitted in JPEG of PDF format. Entries must also include: Artist’s name, age (as of 1 December 2025), date of birth, and a parent/guardian’s contact details (address, email, and phone number).

Each category winner will receive a £50 Amazon voucher. One overall winner will receive a 12V JCB Kids Ride-on Digger, a £50 Amazon voucher, their design featured on MKM’s 2025 Christmas card, printed and distributed across the UK, and £100 art or school supplies voucher for their class.

Rachel Constable, Head of ESG at MKM, said: “Our Christmas Card Competition is such a joy to run. Every year, the talent and imagination of the entries blows us away. From paint and glitter to digital masterpieces. It’s a brilliant opportunity for young people to show off their creativity, and we can’t wait to see what comes in for 2025.”
